Every plan includes a 30-day free trial.
Your credit card is required to start. You will not be charged until day 31. You will receive a reminder email 3 days before your trial ends so it is never a surprise.
If you cancel before day 31, you pay nothing. No questions asked.
If you do not cancel before day 31, your card is charged automatically at your plan rate and your subscription continues month to month.
There are no contracts. After the trial, you are billed monthly on the same date your trial ended. You can cancel any month with no penalties and no fees.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not issue partial-month refunds once a billing cycle has started, unless the failure to deliver service was on our end.
If you purchase a domain through GroundWork as part of your setup, that domain belongs to you. It is registered in your name. We manage the DNS records to point your domain at your GroundWork website while you are an active subscriber.
If you cancel, we will provide you with the DNS records or nameserver settings you need to point your domain wherever you choose next. You keep your domain.
If you already had a domain before signing up, nothing changes about your ownership. We only update the DNS to point at your GroundWork site.
If your plan includes Vera, GroundWork provisions a Canadian phone number on your behalf through our telephony provider. This number is active for as long as your subscription is active.
On cancellation, you have 30 days to port your number out.
We will provide you with the information you need to transfer the number to your own provider. After 30 days, if no port request has been made, the number is released back to the carrier pool.
If you have been using this number on your truck, your cards, or your Google profile, we want to make sure you have time to move it.
We are not responsible for any business impact related to a number you chose not to port within the 30-day window.
The words, photos, and business information on your GroundWork website belong to you. The platform and software that runs it belong to GroundWork.
If you cancel, you can request a copy of your website content within 30 days. We will provide it as a zip file of your site files at no charge. After 30 days we cannot guarantee the content is still available.
All invoices, client records, and payment history you create in the GroundWork billing system belong to you. Your dashboard includes a built-in export button — you can download your complete billing data as an Excel file any time, whether you are an active subscriber or preparing to leave. No need to ask us for it.
GroundWork owns the platform — the software, the AI receptionist system (Vera), the website builder, the billing engine, and all the code and infrastructure that makes it run. You are subscribing to use these tools, not purchasing them.
When your subscription ends, your access to the platform ends. Your content and data are yours to take with you.
If we fail to deliver service for reasons within our control, we will issue a prorated credit for the days affected. We do not issue refunds for outages caused by third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
GroundWork is built for legitimate Canadian trades businesses. By signing up you confirm that you are operating a real business and that the information you provide during onboarding is accurate.
You may not use GroundWork for any unlawful purpose, to harass or deceive callers, or to misrepresent your business. We reserve the right to terminate any account that violates these terms without refund.
We collect the information you provide during signup and the call data Vera generates. We use this to operate your account and send you notifications. We do not sell your data. We are a Canadian company operating under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version is always at ground-work.ca/terms.
